The National Construction Code introduced new flood requirements into legislation in 2013 edition that requires habitable rooms on all new houses and the rooms on any extension to be above the local flood datum prescribed.
Lake 2 Country Building Designs recommends having any property assessed against the local flood mapping by their staff before purchasing any land for your new home or commercial project as this may save you from getting landed with a useless property, or a property that you are unable to proceed with your desired design on.
